Global pharmaceutical leader Lupin limited has announced the launch of Glucagon for Injection USP, 1mg/vial in the United States. Packaged in an emergency kit, this product is bioequivalent to Eli Lily’s Glucagon for Injection, 1mg/vial and is indicated for the treatment of severe hypoglycemia in adults and children with diabetes mellitus. It also serves as a diagnostic aid during certain radiologic procedures to temporarily slow gastrointestinal movement in adults.
With an estimated annual market size USD 122 million (IQVIA MAT June 2025) the launch strengthens Lupin’s presence in the critical diabetes care segment. Available through its robust U.S. distribution network, Lupin’s Glucagon kit offers a timely, life saving option for patients and caregivers facing diabetic emergencies.
